OCTOBER 6, 2015

Two male suspects, between the ages of 22 and 30, are expected in the Ntabankulu Magistrate's Court on Tuesday after they were arrested for murder on Monday morning.

The arrest came after a 78 year-old male victim was killed at Tsita Locality, in Ntabankulu, on Saturday night.

It is alleged that the deceased was coming back from a traditional ceremony in a nearby village when he was followed, attacked and killed by the two suspects at his homestead.

A preliminary investigation was conducted by police and within 48 hours both suspects were arrested.

The motive of the killing is unknown and forms part of the investigation.

Mount Ayliff Cluster Commander, Brigadier Mthuthuzeli Mntukushe welcomed the swift arrest and assured the Mount Ayliff residents that perpetrators involved in criminal activities will be brought to justice.
