Two men handed lengthy sentences for murder by Mount Frere Regional Court

Two men, aged 31 and 32, year were on Thursday sentenced to undergo 18 years and 20 years imprisonment for murder by the Mount Frere Regional Court. 

According to police spokesperson, Captain Edith Mjoko, "During the morning of 4 April 2015, the body of a 26-year-old man was found in the valley next to the road with stabbed wounds on the upper body.

"A case of murder was reported and opened."

Captain Mjoko said that swift investigation by Detective Constable Ntando led to the arrest of two men.

"The 31-year-old, Mzwanele Lugongolo, was sentenced to 18 years imprisonment and 32-year-old, Baxolele Cobokana, was sentenced to 20 years imprisonment."
