Two new signings for Pirates
Orlando Pirates have secured the signings of defender, Tshepo Gumede and goalkeeper, Siyabonga Mpontshane from Platinum Stars.
The duo will be joining the Buccaneers, while winger, Tlou Segolela, moves on to Dikwena on a permanent deal, along with defender, Gladwin Shitolo, who will be on loan deal until the end of the season.
Since the death of goalkeeper, Senzo Meyiwa, Pirates have been searching for a strong replacement.
Mpontshane has been on the side’s radar since Meyiwa’s passing, who had previously tried to lure in Kaizer Chiefs keeper, Itumeleng Khune as well as SuperSport United goalie, Ronwen Williams.
Gumede has said that he is looking forward to playing for the Buccaneers.
“It’s now time for me to push on. It’s another new chapter in my life and it’s a really good feeling in general. They play the type of soccer that I like,” he said.
