Uitenhage police appeal for information after more goats stolen and slaughtered

The Uitenhage Stock Theft Unit has appealed to the community to assist with information pertaining to the slaughtering of goats and the buying or selling of these slaughtered animals after another incident of stock theft.

"Uitenhage Stock Theft Unit are investigating a case that was reported to the police this morning, Tuesday, at about 07:00, after an incident where 30 goats were found slaughtered on a farm next to the Bluecliff Road, in the Kirkwood area," police said.

"All the carcasses were removed and the incident occurred during last night, Monday."

Around 30 Angora goats ewes, worth around R45 000, were also stolen and slaughtered in early February in the same area.
