Uitenhage police appeal for public assistance in solving armed business robbery

Uitenhage police have launched investigation after two armed suspects allegedly robbed the Friendly Mini Market at Single Oak Street, de mist, Uitenhage, on Monday morning.

According to the police, the two armed suspects threatened the owner at a gunpoint and stole cigarettes and some items before fleeing.

“It is alleged that the suspects fled in a red Toyota Tazz with registration number CZJ 769 EC.

“No person was injured during the incident,” said police spokesperson, Sergeant Majola Nkohli.

After the suspects had fled, the Store Manager contact the police and a case of armed business robbery was opened.

Police are following up leads and appeal to local residents, who might have knowledge of the suspects, to come forward and assist in their investigation.
