Uitenhage police call on public to help with search for missing man

Uitenhage police have appealed to the public for any information regarding the whereabouts of an elderly man who went missing last week.

In a statement, police spokesperson Lieutenant Gerda Swart said 69-year old Zilindile Straight Mtana was last seen walking on Durban Street at around 18h00 on May 24th before disappearing. He was wearing khaki pants, a black cap, a striped green-and-white short sleeved shirt and navy slippers at the time.

“Anyone with information about his whereabouts are requested to contact Warrant Officer, Wilfred Swartbooi on 073 768 4308 or SAPS Uitenhage 041 996 3438 or SAPS Crime Stop 08600 10111,” Swart said.
