Uncle Jumbo’s Christmas Party kicks off on a high note

Uncle Jumbo’s Christmas Party has come around once again, thanks to the Rotaract Club of Port Elizabeth, and kicked off their first opening weekend on a high note.

On Sunday, The Christmas Party held their invitation-only charity show, which was dedicated to underprivileged children.

The show was a huge success with over 200 children in attendance from across the different children’s homes in Port Elizabeth, such as the EP Children’s Home, Helping Hands, SOS Children’s Village, and many more.

Uncle Jumbo’s Christmas Party is the biggest fundraiser for the year for the Rotaract Club.

Many children attend the show with their parents in the hopes of seeing familiar faces such as Noddy and his friends from Toyland; the Fairy Godmother; Tinkerbell; Father Christmas; a marching band and many more. Spiderman is a special addition for this year!

At the show, parents get to relax and enjoy a nice picnic while their kids play with their favourite characters and clowns - and Uncle Jumbo himself.

Proceeds from the show will go towards helping the Rotaract Club fund orphanages and charity initiatives for the rest of the year.

This year, the Con.ect team, Port Elizabeth’s own Geek Convention Company, has teamed up with the Rotaract Club PE to help bring in more characters for the children to enjoy and make this year’s programme a whole lot more fun.

The show will run until the 11th of December at DF Malherbe High School. Tickets are R50 per adult and R60 per child, and are available at Computicket.
