The South African Weather Service has again warned of hot and uncomfortable conditions in certain parts of the Eastern Cape for Thursday.

Conditions favourable for the developing and spreading of veld fires are again forecasted for the north western and central interior of the province, with hardest hit areas including the Camdeboo, Baviaans and Inxuba Yethemba Local Municipalites. Veld fire advisories have also been issued for the Nkonkobe, Nxuba, Tsolwana, Lukanji, Emalahleni and Intsika Yethu Local Municipalites.

High levels of discomfort are also expected along the coast between Port St Johns and East London, later spreading to the adjacent interior.
