Zuma to provide feedback on nine-point plan today

BY CHARL BOSCH - AUGUST 11, 2015

President Jacob Zuma is reportedly expected to provide an update later today on progress made in key areas highlighted during his State of the Nation Address (SONA) on February 12th.

In a statement released late yesterday, the Presidency announced that Zuma would provide clarity around the so-called nine-point plan he introduced at the SONA.

These includes; the revitalisation of the agriculture and agro-processing value-chain, advancing beneficiation (adding value to our mineral wealth), more effective implementation of a higher impact industrial policy action plan, unlocking the potential of small, medium and micro enterprise (SMMEs), co-operatives, and township and rural enterprise, resolving the energy challenge, stabilising the labour market, scaling up private sector investment, growing the ocean economy and cross-cutting areas to reform, boost and diversify the economy.
