The Willowvale Regional Magistrate's Court on Tuesday sentenced a 21-year-old man, Akhele Gcwabe, to 10 years in prison after convicting him for a brutal murder that happened in 2015.

"It is alleged that the deceased, Asavela Skoti, aged 22, met the accused on 22 September 2015, at about 3am, at a bus stop at Mboya Village, Willowvale," described police spokesperson, Captain Jackson Manatha.

"The deceased asked the accused, who stabbed his brother.

"Instead of answering him, the accused drew his knife and stabbed the deceased on his upper body."

 Skoti died immediately afterwards.

"A murder case was opened and later the accused was traced and arrested."
