Five busted for Humansdorp house robbery

Determination and commitment by the dedicated Humansdorp SAPS members were commended when they swiftly apprehended five suspects, aged between 21 and 29 years old, for allegedly carrying out a house robbery in the town on Tuesday.

"It is alleged that the 26-year-old victim was inside his home at about 17:30, in Silver Town, Humansdorp when the five males forced their way into the house and threatened the victim with knives," said police.

"The suspects demanded money from the victim and took his wallet containing cash and two cellphones.

"The suspects fled soon afterwards from the scene and the victim reported the case to the Humansdorp SAPS on Wednesday."

Police officers immediately followed up on information and apprehended the five suspects in the Humansdorp area.

"They are due to appear in the Humansdorp Magistrate’s Court on Friday on a charge of house robbery."

The Cluster Commander for Humansdorp, Brigadier John Lebok, has applauded the members on their prompt response to the information as well as the swift arrest of the five suspects.
