In South Africa's bidding campaign to host the 2023 Rugby World Cup (RWC), some Springbok players and Head Coach Allister Coetzee, gathered at the Donkin Reserve on Saturday morning to hoist the '#SouthAfrica2023' flag.

The Springboks and coaching staff arrived in Port Elizabeth on Tuesday in which to prepare for their first Rugby Championship encounter against Argentina at the NMB Stadium next Saturday.

South Africa last hosted the RWC when they were crowned world champions in 1995 - their first major global participation after isolation; so the campaign will be branded extensively to all corners of the country until the winning bid is announced at the end of the year.

Other front-running bidders to host the 2023 RWC are Ireland and France.
