Fun-filled Urban Festival comes to PE's CBD this weekend

The balcony of the City, the Donkin Reserve, comes alive this weekend with an Urban festival of activity hosted by the Mandela Bay Development Agency (MBDA).
The annual festival which includes the popular Urban Run charity obstacle race, kicks off with a two hour aerobics marathon managed by Metro Gym. This taebo / boot camp style outdoor class is free entry for anyone that wants to join in with free t-shirt and drinks available. An aikido martial arts demonstration follows whilst on the lower Donkin there will be Drone racing from 10am.
Saturday afternoon will see the Paw Patrol characters attending ahead of the 3pm start to the 15km Urban MTB race and the 3km Kids Urban Run obstacle (kids 6 – 14 years) with prizes for best dressed, winners trophies and finishers medals for all.
Sunday morning kicks off with entertainment from Gino Fabbri at 8am ahead of the best dressed competition and the feature Urban Run 8km obstacle run at 9am.

No late entries accepted on the day with all participants required to raise a minimum of R100 for Cleary Estate Cheshire Home and Cupcakes for Kids with Cancer. Prizes for the top 3 charity fundraisers, best dressed and fastest runners. The run route offers a combination of historic landmarks and recent urban renewals starting and finishing at Donkin Reserve.
At the festival will also be a great selection of food vendors, a Castle Lite Beer Garden and the About IT Rotary kids zone managed by the Rotary Club of PE Sunrise where children can be left to enjoy an array of inflatable equipment.
