Jason Kieck Designs Hosts Fashion Event of the Year, Hope of Africa

On Saturday November 11, Jason Kieck Designs hosted Port Elizabeth’s fashion event of the year at the Boardwalk Convention Centre, the theme of this year’s showcase: “Hope of Africa”.

The show was held in aid of the Igazi Foundation, with a strong emphasis on fundraising for this excellent cause which is very close to designer Jason Kieck’s heart.

Jason Kieck studied at the Natal Technikon in Durban as a Fashion Designer and graduated in 1994 with numerous distinctions. He then relocated to Port Elizabeth (his home town) in 1995.

Jason Kieck specializes in wedding gowns, evening wear, matric dance dresses, and special occasion wear.

He has raised hundreds of thousands of rand’s for various charities such as the “Aurora” Home for the handicapped, “Retina South Africa” Blind Association, “Reach for a Dream”, “Isithembiso” home for abandoned and abused babies, the “Born Free Foundation” and “Operation Smile”, a children’s hospice.

Mr South Africa, Habib Noorbhai delivered a heartfelt speech on the importance of making the most of our time, money and energy in life and the importance of the fight against the scourge of cancer.

Speeches were also delivered by Adrian Gardiner, Founder & Chairman of The Mantis Collection and Alan Stapleton, Advertising and Promotions Manager for SPAR Eastern Cape.

The Igazi Foundation is the only dedicated blood cancer services NGO in Southern Africa. Formed in the Eastern Cape in 2010 by Cole Cameron in partnership with Dr Neil Littleton, they have become recognised internationally for creating facilities, patient support, medical education and stem cell medicine advocacy, in the region.
