Police in Grahamstown have appealed to the public for help with information that can assist them in tracing a missing man believed to be suffering from depression.

"Dagan Read, a white male aged 25, was last seen by his parent on Saturday, 9 June 2018," said police spokesperson, Capt Mali Govender.

"Today [Monday], he was again seen by friends in Grahamstown, at about 10:00, on the N2 near Settlers Monument.

"According to a relative, he was recently released on bail in Upington, Northern Cape, for the use of motor vehicle without the owner’s consent. He is well-educated and is suffering from a depression disorder."

She said that he was wearing black jeans, brown shoes, green scarf, blue jersey and had a red Ferrari backpack.

"The missing person is not considered dangerous, however it is advisable that he be treated with caution as his condition is unpredictable at this stage."
