King Williams Town police make sizable dagga bust following tip-off

Members of the King Williams Town Flying Squad on Saturday arrested two suspects after following up on information they received about drugs being sold at a house in Zwelitsha.

"A search warrant was obtained and they proceeded to the house at Zone 3, Zwelitsha," said police spokesperson,  Captain Siphokazi Mawisa.

"During a search of the house, several bags of dagga was found hidden behind the beds and seized."

She said that the dagga weighed29.5kgs with a street value of approximately R10 000.

"Two suspects aged 48 and 50 years were arrested and face charges of possession of dagga," Capt Mawisa said.

Dagga seizure commended by King Williams Town SAPS Commander

King Williams Town SAPS Cluster Commander, Brigadier Luntu Ngubelanga, commended the team for their swift response and extended sincere thanks to the community for providing information.

"We nuture and protect our informants who supply us with information on crime and criminals," he added.
