Police seek help locating missing Mt Frere boy

Mt Frere - Mt Frere police are seeking information that can assist them in locating a missing 11-year-old boy, Sixolise Endinako Mbi, residing at Lwadlana A/A Phephezela Locality, in Mount Frere.

Mbi went missing on Sunday.

"It is alleged that the child was at his home at about 12:30 when his friend asked him to go play," said police spokesperson, Capt Raphael Motloung.

"They both went to the nearby valley to play.

"At about 16:15, they went to another homestead and the friend left Sixolise behind to go collect cattle leaving him with a 28-year-old woman."

Capt Motloung said that when Sixolile’s grandmother went looking for him, she was informed that he went back home.

"However, he never arrived."

At the time of reporting, Mount Frere FCS members and K9 members were on their way to search the area for the boy and to investigate his disappearance.

"Anyone who can assist in finding her or have seen her can contact D/Sgt. Ngqambuza at Mt Frere SAPS on 0713489131 alternatively the Crime Stop number 0860010111."
