Uitenhage police appeal for leads after liquor outlet robbed by armed men

Uitenhage - Uitenhage police have appealed to the public for assistance with information that can help them in solving a business robbery incident after four armed suspects targeted a liquor store in Uitenhage on Sunday morning.

"On Sunday, at around 08:45am, it is alleged that four men, three armed with firearms entered a liquor store in Bubbs Avenue, Uitenhage.

"One armed suspect held the three store employees and one customer at gunpoint, while other three ransacked the store," said police spokesperson, Sergeant Majola Nkohli.

"It is further said that the four armed suspects stole cash and liquor before fleeing the scene in a white sedan with no registration number plates.

"No person was injured during the incident and the suspects are still at large."

Police are urging anyone with information that could lead to the arrest of the suspects to contact the investigating officer, Detective Captain Josh Victor at 083 455 1853 or 082 319 9204.
