30-year-old Motherwell man arrested for possession of stolen vehicle

Port Elizabeth - Motherwell Cluster Operational Command Centre members arrested a 30-year-old male for the possession of a stolen vehicle on Thursday afternoon.

According to police information, the man was arrested at around 14:00 along Cintsa Street, NU5, Motherwell, Port Elizabeth.

"This followed after the OCC members spotted a suspicious blue VW Jetta parked in the yard of a house in Cintsa Street," described police spokesperson, Captain Andre Beetge.

"After checking the vehicle, the members realised that it was stolen in Walmer, Port Elizabeth, earlier this month.

"On following up information supplied by the home owner, the 30-year-old suspect was arrested."

Capt Beetge said that the suspect  will be appearing before the Motherwell Magistrate's Court on Friday on a charge of possession of a stolen vehicle.
