Port Elizabeth armed robber sentenced to 15 years in jail on each count

In December 2018, he was found guilty and on Thursday, he was sentenced on all nine cases.

"On each case, he was sentenced to 15 years imprisonment - five counts will run concurrent to the sentencing while the other four will also run concurrent to the sentencing of 15 years therefore in total he will be serving 30 years in prison," Col Naidu added.

Acting Cluster Commander at Mount Road SAPS, Brig Andrew Louw, commended the detective on the case for his sterling investigation in these cases.

"Thorough investigation ensured that this criminal remained in custody until his sentencing. Harsh sentences such as this will keep criminals behind bars for a long time," added Brig Louw.
