As part of its efforts to assist within the community, Uitenhage-based wholesaler, Afri-Save Cash & Carry, recently donated goods to a local school for their trip.

"We received a letter from Phindubuye Primary School, based in Kwanobuhle, Uitenhage, asking us for assistance for their upcoming educational tour for Grade R learners at their school," the company said.

"As part of the tour, the school planned to visit areas such as Happy Valley, Bayworld and Homely Farm. The request for assistance came due to circumstances such as the school being situated in an under privileged area and most of their Grade R learners' parents were unemployed."

Afri-Save Cash & Carry Director, Munir Jeevawas so humbled by the letter that he immediately contacted the school and pledged the support of him and his company.

"During a handover at Afri-Save Cash & Carry to Phindubuye Primary School educators, the Pakoma Dorna and school secretary, Bulelwa Mbetshu gladly thanked everyone, including Jeeva and his staff for their assistance and generosity," it said.
