Uitenhage-based Afri-Save Cash & Carry, responded in kind after its Director, Munir Jeeva, received a request for support from the Uniting Reformed Congregation Ebenhaeser for a Golf Day that was to be held on Saturday.

The Golf Day formed part of their 65th Anniversary celebrations and they needed a donation to assist them with this important fundraising event.

A lovely generous donation consisting of various items was put together and during a handover with the Chairman of the Golf Community, Mr Leslie Goliath and his wife, Denise Goliath, the parcel was handed to the church.

"We, the Church Council, Congregation and Planning Committee of the United Reformed Congregation Ebenhaeser Uitenhage, hereby want to convey our heartfelt gratitude for the generous contribution Afri-Save Cash & Carry has made in the form of a luxury hamper to our golf day.

"It certainly helped in making the golf day a successful event. It is our hope that we can build on this relationship going forward and pray that God will bless you abundantly," said Mr Goliath.

The donation was exchanged at Afri-Save Cash & Carry's premises at 50 Melbrooks Avenue, Uitenhage on Friday.
