After receiving "a very moving email" from Sharon Dove, who sung praises for Blessings from me to you East London SA, Afri-Save Cares responded in kind.

"I've read so much on Facebook, how you have assisted various communities and projects in need. I approached you with a view to assisting Louise Torr from East London, Eastern Cape.

"This lady and her formidable team do an amazing job and provide impeccable service to the needy in and around East London," wrote Sharon.

This organisation's objectives are perfectly aligned with those of Afri-Save Cash & Carry and the decision for Director, Munir Jeeva, was a no-brainer to assist.

Blessings from me to you East London SA provides the following services to the people of East London:

  • meals to families and individuals, especially single mothers, fathers and infants;
  • counselling to broken households or individuals who face suicide, anxiety disorders or depression;
  • supporting disadvantaged schools through fundraising and food donations.
  • raising awareness of poverty and living conditions.

On Friday, a very humbled, Owen Lowe, received the donation and thanked Jeeva on behalf of Sharon Dove explaining that Mrs Dove had cancer and was currently in remission and therefore could not attend.

"We need to support such courageous efforts by individuals who always put others before themselves, making the world a much better place because of them and their good deeds," expressed Jeeva.
