Afri-Save Cares supports the Catholic Order of the Knights of Da Gama

The Catholic Order of the Knights of Da Gama is an organisation, which, on a monthly basis, like Afri-Save Cash & Carry, also provides soup kitchens and food parcels to various needy communities regardless of religion or race.

With the two organisations' visions of assisting the needy almost paralell, Afri-Save Cash & Carry Director, Munir Jeeva, without hesitation jumped at the chance to assist such a worthy cause.

During a very cheerful handover ceremony at Afri-Save Cash & Carry premises on Friday, Mr Jeeva handed over the gracious donation to past Grand Knight, Mario Stegmann, who received it on the Orders' behalf.

“It is a great honour to assist another organisation who shares the same charitable aspirations as we at Afri-Save have and we are always more than ready to assist with reaching out to the underprivileged to try and provide them with upliftment of their current circumstance, no matter how big or small the notion is,” said Jeeva during the exchange.

Grand Knight, Maxley Trerise, responded; "On behalf of St. Jude, Council 33, Uitenhage, I would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude for the generous donation received.

"Your contribution will ensure that more needy families are reached and will make a significant difference in the lives of those who benefit.

"The Knights of Da Gama have many fundraisers during the year to support our countless beneficiaries and a lot of purchases are made through members at your store. Our wish is to remain partners in reaching out to the needy in and around Uitenhage by supporting one another. May the Lord bless you abundantly."
