African Bombers Rugby Football Club congratulates Siyamthanda Kolisi

Port Elizabeth-based African Bombers Rugby Football Club on Friday joined millions of South Africans in congratulating Siyamthanda 'Siya' Kolisi in his new role as Springbok captain.

"As your childhood club which discovered your raw talent in the dusty streets of Zwide at Dan Qeqe Stadium, which was later nurtured by Msengeni Primary School and Grey High School we are extremely proud of you and fully behind you as you fly our African Bombers flag and that of the Nelson Mandela Bay," said African Bombers Rugby Football Club Media Communication Officer, Zola Tengile.

"Siya's appointment as the captain of Springboks is a milestone in the South African Rugby history and its a symbol of a new dawn.

"To us as the club we are delighted and its a motivation to young rugby players in particular players from South African township like Zwide, Mlazi, Gugulethu, Mdantsane, Orlando, Soshanguve and Seshego.

"We are comforted to know that your humanity, humble down to earth character will make you excell even more in this role like you have excelled in the roles that came before this one."

Tengile added that "as we will be celebrating 65 years in 2019 since our existence, your appointment to captaincy is the highest honor that has ever been bestowed on us by any player that has ever come through our ranks and we hope is not the last".

"We collectively say Huntshu Mntan' omgquba, Phakama Gqwashu this is your time!"
