Alleged drug dealer expected in court after being arrested by Mthatha police

Mthatha - The Mthatha K9 and Crime Intelligence members were thanked for their swift response after receiving a much-appreciated tip-off.

"On Thursday, police officers received an information about a man that was selling drugs at Matolweni Street in Ngangelizwe," said police spokesperson, Captain Dineo Koena.

"The house was searched and a 42-year-old man was arrested after 130 Boss Mandrax, 15 half Boss Mandrax, eight Ziplock plastics containing Boss Mandrax powder, 18 Ziplock plastics containing Tik, one plastic with dagga seeds and a cash amount of R3 690.00  were found in his possession."

He will appear before Mthatha Magistrate Court on Friday facing a charge of possession and dealing in drugs.

The officers were highly commended by the Acting Cluster Commander, Brigadier Mandlakhe, and he thanked the communities for giving out the information to police.
