An evening of mindboggling illusions, mystery and magic is on the cards for Saturday 7 May when well known magician, illusionist and mentalist, Mo Magic, appears at The Boardwalk Amphitheatre.

Many magic fans will recognize Mo Magic from his weekly prime time TV show titled Magic with Mo on SABC3. Now it’s time for Port Elizabeth to see the magic unfold live, right before their very eyes.

The audience can expect to see some of the magic, mentalism (mind reading magic) and stunts as seen on the TV show, and other routines created especially for the 90 minute theatre show at The Boardwalk.

“Come and experience Mo Magic’s mind blowing magic live at The Boardwalk Amphitheatre. You’re in for an awesome evening of mind bending tricks and illusions that will keep you guessing, questioning and smiling for a long time afterwards,” says Vuyiswa King, the Entertainment and Events Manager at The Boardwalk.

Having qualified as an electronic engineer with an honours degree from the University of Natal, South Africa, Mo Magic ventured into the world of magic in 2005, performing at Mugg and Bean Musgrave in Durban on Saturdays.

As word of mouth spread, he began performing at corporate events and other venues. He stepped onto the international scene in 2006 when he toured the United Kingdom performing at private events and lecturing to magicians, before visiting Sweden for the World Championships of Magic.

By 2010, he had given up his day job and was named “Top of the Charts” in South Africa by international publication Gulf News and was the only magician to be featured on this select list of entertainers.

When asked about his remarkable and exponential success, Mo Magic remarks that he is merely “standing on the shoulders of giants”, and that he is thankful to have the guidance of his extraordinary mentors locally and internationally. His peers have given him the nickname of “The James Bond of Magic” due to his unique personality, charm and style of magic.

The show starts at 19h30. Tickets costing R120 per person can be booked at Computicket. Like The Boardwalk on Facebook www.facebook.com/boardwalk.elizabeth and follow on Twitter @TheBoardwalkPE.
