Audio upgrades for Mitsubishi Mirage

Audio upgrades for Mitsubishi Mirage

Barely a year after its local launch in August, Mitsubishi Motors South Africa has introduced minor upgrades to its entry-level Mirage supermini.

Although kept unchanged aesthetically, the mid-spec GLX and range-topping GLS now feature standard Bluetooth with USB audio streaming and voice command.

As with the styling, the Mirage remains untouched mechanically with power still coming from a 1.2-litre three cylinder petrol engine that makes 57 kW and 100 N.m of torque. A five-speed manual remains the sole transmission option available with Mitsubishi claiming a combined fuel consumption figure of 4.9 L/100 km.

Standard spec on the base GL includes a radio/CD audio system, keyless entry, colour coded bumpers, air-conditioning, front electric windows, central locking, 14-inch steel wheels, height adjustable steering wheel, dual front airbags and ABS with EBD.

Building on this, the GLX features a leather wrapped multi-function steering wheel, colour coding for the door handles and electric mirrors, 15-inch alloy wheels and an eco-metre.

Concluding the range, the GLS adds keyless go, rear electric windows, boot spoiler, one touch up/down function for driver’s window, front foglights and automatic climate control.

Along with the standard three year / 100 000 km warranty and two year / 30 000 km service plan, 12-months free insurance continues to be offered on all three models.
