Bay's IVR account services for electricity purchases unavailable until further notice

The Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality has advised residents and businesses that IVR account services have been down since Sunday due to an aircon malfunctioning in the computer room.
"Customers are therefore not able to buy electricity via the IVR, and on Monday, the call Centre (tel 041-506 5555) is not working," the Metro said. 
"While all efforts are being made to have these services restored, alternative options around the purchase of electricity and accounts related issues and queries are reflected below and are also attached."

Wanting to buy electricity?

    .  Purchase at any vendor; and
    .  Register to purchase electricity via their phone on WireIT.

"Customers must visit their nearest Customer Care Centre for queries, as no alternative query line is available," the municipality said.
"Phoning the satellite offices is not recommended, as all staff members are assisting at the counters."
