BKCOB Executive Committee nominations for 2016-17 now open

Nominations for members of the 2016/17 Border-Kei Chamber of Business (BKCOB) Executive Committee are now open. 

"This is your opportunity to play an integral role in shaping the business environment in the Border-Kei region by adding your voice to the Chamber movement," says Drayton Brown, Head: Communications at Border-Kei Chamber of Business.

"The BKCOB has eight (8) committees who all report directly through the Chairperson to the Executive Committee.  These committees include Education, Employment Relations, Energy, Infrastructure, Manufacturing, Economic Affairs & Trade, Tourism the Sports Tourism sub-committee and Operations and Marketing.  These working groups meet once a month to discuss pertinent issues relating to business in the region."

Brown said that the Chamber is a membership-based organisation, all Executive Committee members are elected to their positions by fellow members and are entrusted with leading the way in their respective ‘sector’ in order to deliver the Chamber’s mandate of creating a conducive environment for business to grow.

Should you wish to nominate a fellow member, or should you wish to be nominated onto the Executive Committee for the term 2016/17, please complete the attached nomination form and return to Tish ([email protected]) by 10am, Monday, 20 June 2016.

The Executive Committee will be announced at the 19th Annual General Meeting on Tuesday, 21 June 2016 to be held at the East London Golf Club at 17h30.
