Body washes up at Eastern Beach in East London
On Thursday, East London police divers were called out to recover a body that had washed up on the Eastern Beach.
"The identity of the victim not known," said police spokesperson, Captain Mali Govender.
"It is possible that it may be one of the persons, who drowned this past Sunday."
She said that SAPS divers also managed to recover the body of a 25-year-old male in the Mbashe River, who drowned during the weekend.
"Two inquest dockets have been opened for investigation."
