Celebrating two years of local entrepreneurship at the Locally Yours Market

Port Elizabeth - Join the Locally Yours Market festivities on Friday, 28th and Saturday, 29th February at the Tramways Building as they celebrate their 2nd birthday.

The Locally Yours Market is proud to be a sought after Nelson Mandela Bay event that is all about products that are handmade, crafted, cooked, baked, grown and designed by local entrepreneurs in the Eastern Cape.

“The sustainability and success of the market are all due to the locals and visitors support, showcasing that the trend to support local and shop sustainably is in demand.” shared Market Director Mrs. Annelize Botha with gratitude.

The February market will take place from Friday evening, introducing a special student discount on various items and Joe van der Linden will provide live entertainment. The festivities will continue on Saturday, with a speciality cake baked by Merelda from mmmDelicious and slices will be sold to which the contributions will go to the Animal Ant-Cruelty League (AACL).

It would not be a birthday without prizes and gifts, so various spot prizes will be up for grabs for shoppers.

There will be new vendors to look out for at the next market who include African Soul Leather, known for creative items that are unique and referred to as sculptured works of art from leather as well as Stitched who will bring in some fashion flair with hair accessories for young, old and all occasions.

Also new to the Locally Yours Market, is African Sun and Shine who strive to inspire young girls to dream big, sparkle more and shine bright through their exclusive range of girls’ clothing while Megan's Herbs and Veggies will be selling organically grown herb and vegetable plants and planters.

Slipperfields will be supplying hearty meals on the go to enjoy at the market or frozen meals to eliminate the fuss of food preparation at home. New items to look out for include pulled pork stuffed sweet potato, lamb potjie and a range of soups. Kilkoy Co. will be on hand to brighten up any beach and casual wear with garments on offer made from East African 100% cotton fabric.

New products from popular vendors who have diversified their offerings include Haloumi food options from Karoo Food Truck; Chinese food flair in addition to the sushi offering from Sushi Braz and homemade pies from Vossies Deli.

A new temptation for foodies will be introduced by the Mustard Deli when they launch their new range of vinaigrettes that include a Gin & Lime vinaigrette.

From the passionate creative crafters, Droomkoffer will be introducing a resin range and Calm will add a spectacular range of jewellery made from Papaya wood.

The Locally Yours Market continue to waive their entrance fee and have instead opted to ask for donations towards the Animal Anti-Cruelty League. Be sure to save the dates, 28 February, 5pm to 9pm and Saturday, 29th February 9am to 2pm to enjoy this unique market that promises to leave you with a feeling of #proudlylocal.
