Child killed in accident as driver reportedly flees from scene
A child was killed following an accident on the N6 near Beacon Bay in East London on Friday night.
Charles Bramwell, Spokesperson for Provincial Traffic stated that it was alleged that the driver of a Toyota Hilux bakkie crossed over onto incoming traffic and collided with a Nissan Sentra.
The minor child was travelling in the Nissan and died on the scene. The diver and his female passenger were seriously injured in the accident.
According to them the driver of the Hilux fled from the scene of the accident.
Police are investigating a case of culpable homicide.
