Community assistance sought in solving Kwadwesi teen's murder

Eastern Cape SAPS Provincial Commissioner, Lt Gen Liziwe Ntshinga, has strongly condemned the senseless killing of a 15-year-old boy, who was found murdered in Kwadwesi, Port Elizabeth, over the weekend.

"Such brutal violence against our children in our communities is a concern and need to addressed with urgency and the communities role cannot be overemphasised," she said.

Kwadwesi detectives are now seeking community's assistance in solving the murder of the minor.

"It is alleged that the body of a 15-year-old Anathi Ntandiso was discovered by patrolling police members in Lamani Street, Ezinyoka, Kwadwesi, on Sunday, at about 08:00," said police spokesperson, Captain Andre Beetge.

"There is no indication yet of what the motive for his murder was."

Capt Beetge said that Kwadwesi detectives will not speculate.

"Anyone who can assist the police with information that could assist them with this investigation can contact Constable Siethumi Mahamo at 041 405 4724."

Lt Gen Ntshinga added that "the protection of our children is everyone’s responsibility and we ,as the police urge the community to work with us in ensuring that our future leaders are protected from these ruthless criminals".
