Despatch police are investigating a case of house robbery after unknown number of armed men hit a house in Khayamnandi, Despatch early on Monday morning.

"At around 2am, it is alleged that a 36-year-old woman was in her bedroom when she heard someone forced open a lounge door of her house in Butise Nontshinga Street, in the Khayamnandi area in Despatch," described police spokesperson, Sergeant Majola Nkohli.

"The complainant further said that she ran into the bedroom where her two children were and closed the door.

"Moments later, a suspect wearing a balaclava with a torch entered a bedroom and threatened the three victims and also covered them with a duvet."
