Despatch police need help identifying a body

Despatch - Police in Despatch, Port Elizabeth, have appealed to the public to assist them in identifying the body of a man that was found in the bushes near Perseverance in Despatch on Monday.

"At around 22:00, police were summoned to a scene of a decomposed body of a man. It is alleged that a cattle herder stumbled across the body while he was herding cattle," said police spokesperson, Sergeant Majola Nkohli.

"It is also said that he thereafter walked to the police station to report the matter.

"The deceased was wearing a grey top with greenish stripes and a blue overall pants with reflective stripes.

"Police opened an inquest docket as no visible injuries could be identified."
