Drama as taxi driver arrested on the N2 for attempted kidnapping

A taxi driver was arrested on Wednesday after a dramatic police chase for attempted kidnapping on the N2 highway, near the Tamara area.

"Whilst on the way to King Williams Town, [there were] fourteen other passengers in a Toyota quantum.

"On arrival at King Williams Town, other passengers were dropped at their points and the victim was the remaining passenger."

Capt Mawisa said that it is alleged that the driver did not stop at her drop-off point, but instead he procceeded to drive towards Tamara direction.
