Duo expected in court following armed robbery at Dorper Wind farm
Molteno - Two suspects are expected in court after they were arrested by Molteno police following an armed robbery incident at a the Dorper Wind farm.
"Police arrested two suspects, aged between 37 and 45 years old, for armed robbery took place at Dorper Windfarm on Friday, at about 17: 00," described police spokesperson, Captain Namhla Mdleleni.
"It is alleged that three armed men approached the security guard requesting to enter the farm.
"After security guard refused, they robbed him two cellphones one belong to the farm and thereafter, ran away.
"Police were summoned and a case of armed robbery was opened."
Capt Mdleleni said that immediately a 72-hour plan was activated and shortly after, two suspects were arrested.
"One is still at large. One cellphone was recovered," she added.
"Both suspects will appear before Molteno Magistrate's Court on Monday."
SAPS Cluster Commander for Queenstown, Major General Funeka Siganga, commended the members for their quick response and making sure that criminal are behind bars.
