Duo expected in King Williams Town court for drug dealing

King Williams Town - Two men are expected in court in King Williams Town after they were arrested by the King Williams Town Flying Squad and K9 members over the weekend for dealing in drugs.

The men were arrested on Sunday afternoon, at about 12h00.

"Police followed up the information they received about a vehicle that sells drugs at the Taxi Rank in King Williams Town CBD," said police spokesperson, Captain Siphokazi Mawisa.

"On arrival, they spotted the vehicle and searched it, they then recovered 28 matches boxes with 10 Boss tablets in each plus 1 matches box with 4 and half boss tablets and all were 284 and half boss tablets to the street value of more than R17 000.

"An undisclosed amount of cash was also confiscated by police.

"The suspects, aged 26 and 29 years, were immediately arrested and charged for dealing in drugs."

Capt Mawisa said that these two supects will appear at King Williams Town Magistrate's Court on Tuesday.

King Williams Town SAPS Cluster Commander, Brigadier Luntu Ngubelanga, commended the quick response by police members more especially when information shared by the community.

He thanked the community for working with Police and said crime cannot be conquered if we dont fight it together as one.
