Dutywa man still missing, his abductors claim he escaped

Dutywa police detectives are appealing for community assistance in tracing a kidnapped man.

"33-year-old Yolisa Bhunga was kidnapped by two men, who were demanding their items from him as they accused him of stealing their properties," described police spokesperson, Captain Jackson Manatha.

"He was kidnapped on Friday, 08 June 2018, at Mputi Village, Dutywa.

"Two suspects, who have since been arrested over the kidnapping, said that the victim escaped from them."

Capt Manatha said that the suspects are aged 31 and 56.

"They will appear before the Dutywa Magistrate's Court on Friday on charges of kidnapping," he said.

"Any one, who may have seen Yolisa Bhunga is kindly requested to contact Dutywa Police detectives at 047 489 1514 or the investigating officers that is Det/Sgt Buqa at 083 308 7457 or Det/Const Tembani at 073 573 6758."
