Dutywa police appeal for leads after man gunned down by six men

Dutywa police are appealing for leads as they investigate the murder of a 26-year-old man, who was shot and killed under unclear circumstances over the weekend.

"It is alleged that the deceased was accosted by a group of about six men on Saturday, at about 03:40, along Richardson Road, Dutywa," said police spokesperson, Capt Jackson Manatha.

"The deceased, who cannot named as some of his close relatives have not been informed of his murder, was shot on his upper body.

"He was rushed to Dutywa Health Centre where he was certified dead on arrival."

Dutywa police appeal for leads in solving murder

Capt Manatha said that the motive behind the murder is not known yet.

"Anyone who can assist the Dutywa Police with the information can lead to the arrest of the suspects can contact Dutywa Police at 047 489 1333 or Crime Stop 08600 10111."
