East London police need help finding missing 10-year-old boy

East London - Police in East London have appealed to the public for assistance after a 10-year-old boy, Amila Kawa, of Cambridge location, East London, was reported missing to police on Wednesday.

According to information, it is said that he went swimming with his friends on Tuesday afternoon, 04 February, to a nearby dam and he never came back home.

"He was last seen wearing blue shorts, black t-shirt and blue flip-flops," said police spokesperson, Captain Mluleki Mbi.

"A search team comprising members of the community from Cambridge location, SAPS including police divers were activated to search around the area and the nearby dams.

"We appeal to anyone who might assist in locating him to contact Cambridge police station on 043 709 7500 or 08600 10111."
