Elderly man went missing minutes after being admitted at hospital

East London police have appealed to the public to assist them with information that might help them in their search for a missing person, George Mgezama, who was reported missing on 8 March from the East London Frere Hospital.

"The 73-year-old Sterkspruit man (who is 1.3 tall) was admitted at Frere Hospital on 8 March 2018 and was reported missing a few minutes thereafter," said police spokesperson, Capt Nkosikho Mzuku. 

"Mgezama was transported to Frere Hospital. 

"All means necessary where done to find the missing person but to no avail."

He said that police are urging the public to assist in looking for the Sterkspruit man.
