Elliot police nab 22-year-old man over stolen property, dealing in dagga

Elliot - Members of the Elliot K9 Unit and Crime Intelligence arrested a 22-year-old male for possession of stolen property, possession of dagga to the value of R6 497 as well as for dealing in dagga in Greenfields, Maclear.

"The members acted swiftly upon receiving information that the occupant of house was selling dagga," said police spokesperson, Warrant Officer, Moitheri Bojabotseha.

"The suspect’s house search revealed stolen cellphones and other electronic devices.

"All property has been seized and awaiting complainants to identify.

"The suspect will appear in court soon."

Elliot SAPS Cluster Commander, Colonel Mpho Gezani, has commended the members for their exceptional efforts.

“Well done to my members for their continuous efforts in bring criminals to book. Their commitment to serving the community of Elliot has never gone unnoticed," she praised.
