Festival of Rugby at NMB Stadium this weekend

Following a successful day at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium last week in the Southern Kings’ historic Vodacom Super Rugby win over the Cell C Sharks, as a token of gratitude, the Southern Kings and NMB Stadium will be putting out a fun family day with a Festival of Rugby this weekend when they take on the Brumbies.

The Kings face the Australian visitors in a crucial Vodacom Super Rugby match, kicking off at 19h30.

With over 21 000 fans filling the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium last weekend, the Southern Kings hope to see as many fans showing their support and backing the team against the Brumbies, while enjoying the Festival of Rugby that starts early in the day at the Stadium.

It’s a FESTIVAL OF RUGBY. Make a FAMILY day of it!

Bring your family to the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium this Saturday, 20 May 2017, for a fun-filled day of events and entertainment leading up to the Southern Kings vs Brumbies Vodacom Super Rugby game. There are limited R20 tickets available for the East Stand, so be sure to get your tickets for the family as soon as possible. Secure your seat elsewhere on the stands, from R60 and up!

Gate 4, in Fettes Road, will open at 11h00 with a series of Meyer Sauerman under-16 and under-18 matches on the outside fields, showcasing the region’s up and coming young school rugby talent in preparation for Craven Week.

For Moms and Dads and our younger rugby fans, a specially erected Kiddies Park will be available to keep the family happily entertained while Mom and Dad relax with a bite to eat and a cold beverage in our Fan Park, conveniently and safely situated next to the Kiddies Park.

DJ Jono and PJ Liebenberg will be keeping things festive with foot tapping tunes all day and to get the adrenalin pumping there is an exciting SuperSport Rugby Challenge clash between the Eastern Province Kings and Boland Cavaliers as they go head- to- head at 16h45 on the main field.

The main highlight of the day will kick off at 19h30, with the Southern Kings reigning over the Brumbies in the penultimate home game of the 2017 Vodacom Super Rugby season.

There will be plenty of exciting prizes to be won throughout the day.

There is no better way to spend your Saturday than at Nelson Mandela Bay’s beautiful iconic landmark.

This is our special place. This is our stadium.
