Fidget Spinners – The new craze that has kid’s heads spinning!

By now, we have all probably heard about the new craze that school kids are going totally nuts for - the Fidget Spinner.

For those, who have never heard of this device, the Fidget Spinner is a toy that was specifically designed for stress relief and focus – and, hopefully, to help put a stop to nervous ‘fidgeting’.

A basic fidget spinner consists of a bearing in the centre of a design made from any of a variety of materials including brass, stainless steel, titanium, copper and plastic. An individual holds the centre pad while the toy spins.

Fidget Spinners started rising in popularity in April 2017 thanks to YouTube videos of people doing tricks and showing off their own uniquely designed Fidget Spinner.

The device is often advertised to help assist children with ADHD and autism, and some kids have gone so far as to take them to school to help them focus.

The device is also surrounded by controversy as some schools have decided to ban the toy, saying that it is actually a lot more distracting than it is helpful to students.

If you go online and look up Fidget Spinners, you will see an array of videos, from guys playing guitar with them, to cats and dogs reacting to them in short and funny clips.

Fidget Spinners have become available in most stores and can be bought online now in South Africa.
