Five men appeared at the Humansdorp court for business burglary

Five men believed to be involved in a business burglary case in Jeffreys Bay made a brief court appearance on Thursday.

"They will remain in custody until the 25th of October, when they are due to reappear in the Humansdorp Magistrate's Court for a bail application," described police spokesperson, Sergeant Majola Nkohli.

He said that five are Bonginkosi Mahlakahlaka (28), Thabo Mangiwa (29), Kholisile Blaauw (37), Phakamani Gontsho (26) and Siyabulela Sithole (25).

"They are accused of breaking into Tiger Wheel & Tyre in Jeffreys Bay on Saturday," said Sgt Nkohli.

"It is said that 30 mag wheels, a flat screen television, a DVD player and cash were stolen from the premises."

Some of the stolen items recovered

The suspects were traced and nabbed on Wednesday.

"Police investigation led to the recovery of 15 mag wheels, a television, house breaking implements, a bag with balaclavas and binoculars."
