Flagstaff man and woman arrested for kidnapping and having illegal firearm
A Flagstaff man and woman are expected in court soon after they were arrested by police for alleged kidnapping and possession of an illegal firearm.
"On Monday, a 25-year-old female and 37-years-old man were arrested at Flagstaff for kidnapping and unlicensed firearm," said police spokesperson, Capt Nozuko Handile.
She said that last week Thursday, a 25-year-old man was reported missing from a local farm.
"The searching team was formed consisted of CIG, Directives, and Cluster task team later NIU from Mthatha joined," she added.
"On Monday, they followed up a possitive information, which lead them to arrest these two suspects and confiscated a Norico pistol with three rounds," Capt Handile.
"They will appear before the Port St Johns Magistrate's Court soon."
Port St Johns Cluster Commander, Brig Vukile Ntandane, commended the members for their good work.
