Four male suspects are expected in court on Monday after they were arrested at Kinkelbos, outside Port Elizabeth, for dealing in dagga.

According to police spokesperson, Captain Andre Beetge, the four men were found with almost 14 kilograms of dagga in their vehicle.

"This follows after Kinkelbos police searched a suspicious red VW Golf on the N2 close to Kinkelbos police station at 04:00 on Friday morning," he described.

"20 compressed bags of dagga were found inside the vehicle as well as inside the boot.

"The 14 kilogram of dagga with estimated street value of about R80 000 was confiscated and the four occupants arrested."

Capt Beetge said that the men, aged 31, 32, 35 and 40, will be appearing in the Alexandria Magistrate's Court on Monday, facing charges of dealing in dagga.

Motherwell SAPS Cluster Commander, Major General Dawie Rabie, said; " Dagga remains an illegal drug and SAPS will enforce the law as expected of the organisation by the community it serves."
