Gamble Pharmacy claim first Night Relay trophies

It was clearly a case of deja vu on Tuesday night at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium as the Gamble Pharmacy Men's and Mixed teams continued their domination of the popular Town Lodge Business Night Relay.

Taking place on the last Tuesday evening of the month during winter, the Series attracted over 60 teams for the opening round of the Series with the 5 speedsters from the Gamble Pharmacy Men's team combining well to finish in a fast time of 1hr 1min for the 17.5km course which sees each team member completing a 3.5km lap within the Stadium precinct.

SPAR Men's 1 placed second in the Men's category with the "A" team from Eya Bantu Professional Services in 3rd place whilst in the popular mixed teams category, Eya Bantu managed to place 2nd behind the Gamble team with the Crusaders AC team in 3rd place.

In the Ladies team event, the Investec Ladies continued their domination with another fine win in 1 hour 18 minutes ahead of SPAR Ladies and the teachers and staff from Woodridge College.

In the 3-person walking team category it was the team from Concord Cranes Group which won in a time of 1hr 14min with ETA College in 2nd place and the Gibson family team in 3rd place.

Such has been the response for the next round of the Series on Tuesday 26th June from companies and clubs that there are now only 25 entry slots remaining and teams are urged to secure theirs by registering online through the Zsports Events NPC website - www.zsports.co.za.
